FAMILY DAY - Monday, February 20, 2017 - Facility Hours
Pool Area - Swimming Lessons 4:30-6pm and Public Swim 6-7pm. - Other programs cancelled due to holiday.
Fitness Room - 4:30-7pm ONLY

DECK AREA - Light fixture replacement - due to the replacement of all the deck lights, the pool deck area will be closed February 27 up until March 10, 2017 for repairs.  Please note if the project is completed sooner the facility will re-open.  Please contact us to confirm whether we are back in full service before attending.  Thank you.

The City of Elliot Lake offers a number of registered and drop in programs at the Ruben Yli-Juuti Municipal Pool as well as our beach facilities.

Public Swim

All ages. Children 9 years and under must be accompanied by a person 16 years or older. Maximum 3 children per caregiver. Caregiver must be in the water.  See Public Swim Rules.

Distance Swim

All six Lanes are reserved for lane swimming.  Lane swimmers must be able to swim 25 metres and be comfortable in deep water.  

To ensure a positive experience for all participants:

  • Observe the pace of swimmers before choosing the lane that best suits your pace;
  • Be considerate and respectful of other swimmers; and
  • See a lifeguard if you require assistance.

Silver Dolphins

Senior's exercise class led by an instructor.  Work out at your own pace.

Aquafit & Deep Water Aquafit

  • Aquafit - Shallow end workout. A fast paced class with a combination of cardio and strength training; may use noodles and weights.  Leave feeling energized from this medium intensity workout with a focus on strengthening both your upper and lower body and abs.
  • Deep Water Aquafit - Designed for skilled swimmers who are comfortable in deep water. Use aqua belts for deep water running; focus on core and stability. Synchronized swimming techniques are also used.
    Look for DW symbol in Aquafit schedule.

Swimming Lessons

Lessons are offered during various sessions throughout the year.  They are led by certified instructors and range form beginner and tot lessons to Bronze Cross.  Private lessons are also available.

Elliot Lake Aquatics Club

The Elliot Lake Aquatics Club (ELAC) provides coaching and training in competitive swimming for youth aged 5 to 18.  Swimmers must have basic swimming ability and an obvious comfort level in the pool.  ELAC members practices are geared to age and ability and athletes host and attend meets across Northern Ontario and Ontario.

Masters Swimming

The Elliot Lake Aquatics Club (ELAC) offers a Masters Swimming program for adults 18 and over.  The program runs Tuesdays from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. from September to June.  The annual schedule is divided into three sessions - September to December, January to March and April to June.  The program offers on-deck coaches and is suitable for all swim levels.  For more information, contact the Municipal Pool.
